Friends of Accion, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) U.S. nonprofit organization that supports Acción Ministries, which operates in Mexico. Friends of Accion is comprised of volunteers who serve on the Board of Directors and in other support roles. There are no American paid staff for Friends of Accion. All of the paid staff of Acción Ministries are Mexican citizens who live and work in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico.

Friends of Accion, Inc. (FOA) was founded with the mission to “render meaningful support to the charitable activities of Accion in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico with a view to advancing the well being of the people served and the Christian faith.”Friends of Accion is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so your donations are tax deductible. At first FOA oversaw only Accion’s two housing programs, but in 2006 FOA took over financial oversight of all of Accion’s operations.
